Today's LOL-Cats don't shy away from anything -- even if their humans try to humiliate them. They put the business of being a LOL-Cat first and foremost knowing that it's the giggle that's most important at the end of the day.

What sacrifice in the name of humour! The following kitties are to be commended for their fortitude in the face of trying odds (but then odd is what it's all about -- n'est-ce-pas?). First up are Lars and Odin of "Bengal Business", followed by Felix and Maui of the "Katnip Lounge". Oui Oui of "Twinkletoe Tails" is a real tootsie! On the other paw, Furby of "Crazy Cat Lady Carm" is a real sport. Jonesie of the "Cory Cat Blog" takes a stand, and Milo of "The Cat's Meow" stands up for what he believes in. Then there's Ernie and Wally of "The Island Cats" who are always up for something different. Brulee and Truffle of "Sweet Perfections" PURRpetually sweeten up the line-up. Finally, Nicki of "Fuzzy Tales" puts an end to things as only he can.

So enough is enough, the show must go on -- let's get down to LOL-Biz ...

LOL-Cats are renowned for their lollygagging ways. They are never in a rush to go anywhere -- although they always seem to have somewhere else to go -- except if they're sleeping, of course, and that doesn't count as lollygagging.

As LOL-Cats, I think they are the ultimate observers. This accounts for much of their time. Being so observant allows them to find the humour all around them, and that's why they are so good at their job.

Today's lollygaggers include: Lacocoon Eleanor Rigby (and her litter) from the Lacocoon Cattery, Eric and Flynn of "Our Lives by Eric and Flynn", Wally of the "Island Cats", Odin of "Bengal Business", Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog, Penelope of "The Cat from Hell", GJ of "Ginger Jasper", Gracie of "Goodness Gracie", Casper of "Cat's Cats", and Johnny and The Baby of the "Katnip Lounge".

That Katnip Lounge is a PURRfect place to lollygag -- no wonder they have so many PURRmanent loungers! The Baby is the consummate lollygagger -- you'll find her at the very end (of course).

Crazed cats will do almost anything for a laugh. It's always best to start off the New Year in a good mood. So what better way (other than taking a few nips) to finish the Old Year and begin the new one than with a slew of LOL-Cat gags (otherwise known as LOLgaggery).

Let me tell you, Lady Gaga has nothing on these LOL-Cats! Starting off the party are Felix, May Ling and The Baby of the Katnip Lounge (one of the best New Year's Eve hotspots in Vegas). Little Mahoney of "Marg's Pets" and Wally and Zoe of the "Island Cats" join in the show, as does Tamir of "Furever Friends", new kitten Joplin of "The Ozark Mountain Cats", Gracie of "Goodness Gracie", those bouncing furbabies from "Sweet Perfection", Brulee and Truffle, and following the Old Year out are two of The Whitesters from the "Cats of Wildcat Woods".

Well, the big day is over, but all the hullabaloo is not! It's obvious that LOL-Cats never get a day's rest -- even on Christmas they are still required to PURRform.

Today we have several seasonal LOL-Cats, but truth be told LOL-Cats are always in season -- whatever season that may be.

The only season that is an absolute exception is hunting season. LOL-Cats prefer to remain intact.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American furiends out there! We Canadians did our thing early in October. Canadians generally keep things low key. So, we're always amazed at the fanfare that accompanies the start of the holiday season in the U.S.

Today, we have a mix of Thanksgiving-themed and non-Thanksgiving LOLs. And we finish with a bang (or two, or three or six). We're not "whiff-holding" anything on this special occasion!

Zoey of "Zoolatry" starts us off with a virtual LOL-Cornucopia! Well, I'm BAAAAAAACK! I went for a little break and then circumstances beyond my control kept me away longer than expected.

I'm just so happy that all of you LOL-Cats waited for me and posted some interesting pictures for me to PURRloin (with PURRmission, of course).

So let's check in with today's roster of kitties to see what's up with them. First up is Jonesie of the "Cory Cat Blog", GJ of "Ginger Jasper", Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog, Eric and Flynn of "Our Lives by Eric and Flynn", Ben of "Cat's Cats", Sam of "The Taylor CatSSSSS", Rumbles and Hamlet of "Rumblebum", Gabriel of "The Monkeys, Al of "Cats of Wildcat Woods", Maui of the "Katnip Lounge" and those little minxes Truffle and Brulee of "Sweet Perfections".

It feels wonderful to sweep the cobwebs out of those cogs in my brain, and get it chugging along again. Methinks this is just a warm-up!

SOME NEWBEES AND SOME OLDBEES!

So bees it! Today, we welcome two new kitties to the LOL-fold.

First we have Kipling Moonshadow of "Cat's Cats", more informally known as Kip. He is a six-month old handsome black house panther who has just joined Cat's furmily.

Then there is sweet little Brulee of "Sweet Perfections", a 10-week old smokey-white Persian, who just joined her Mom Paula and equally sweet sister, Truffle.

As Michael Jackson so eloquently put it "If you're thinkin' 'bout my Baby, don't matter if 'it's' black or white!"

Along with these newbees, we have some regular old LOL-veterans including Truffle of "Sweet Perfections" (who would have thunk she'd be a veteran at her tender age?), Milo of "The Cat's Meow", Kona and The Baby of "Katnip Lounge", Ginger and Jonesie of the "Cory Cat Blog", Nicki of "Fuzzy Tales", Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog, Gracie of "Goodness Gracie" and Sister Gracie of "Brian's Home".

It figures a kitty named "Kip" would go for "kippers"!

THIS LITTLE KITTY WENT 'OUI OUI' ...

... ALL THE WAY HOME!

Home for Oui Oui and her family is in Laurel, Maryland where Mom Paula was born. Paula just adores cats, and all 12 or 13 of them throughout her life have been strays, ferals or shelter kitties. She named her blog after Oui Oui, who has several nicknames of which "Twinkletoes" is but one. Their blog is titled "Twinkletoe Tails" and follows the interactions of four beloved cats under one roof.

Oui Oui's (aka Twinkletoes) real name is Sweet Pea, but she was also nicknamed Oui Oui because she never says 'No' when it comes to playing with anyone. She's a frisky little brown tabby ladycat, who is six years old and approximately 11 lbs. She was adopted from a shelter in 2006.

Then there is Mica Minnie Moo who was adopted just a little over a year ago. She is a three-year old Siamese mix with chocolate tortie markings and gorgeous blue eyes. Mica Moo and Oui Oui are best buds. Mica was originally quite the little wildcat, and Paula rescued her from a shelter that specialized in hard-to-place cats. Though she started out skinny, she's now a healthy 12 lbs. and a good match for Oui Oui come wrassling time.

Julie and Carlos are the eldest. They are brother and sister, born 14 years ago. They have Persian blood running in them, which accounts for their floofy abundance. Julie (who's real name is Jewel) is a pristine pure white and weighs in about 9 lbs. She's quite the little crankypants when it comes other kitties, but she just adores her Mama. Carlos, on the other paw, is a hunka-hunka pure black mancathood! He weighs in at close to 13 lbs. and is nicknamed "The Vacuum" because of his hoovering abilities when it comes to anything edible. He's laidback and vocal -- a nice counterpoint to his female counterpart, Julie.

Cats are my faFURite subject, ergo why I have created this LOLSpot. It's fun to find humour in their everyday antics. Though the subject is objective, the humour is not. It is quite subjective, in fact. When it comes to humour, there is a wide variety of tastes.

I don't expect that everyone is going to find my PURRticular brand of humour funny. And not everyone will find humour in each and every LOL. I appreciate it when people let me know which ones they like best, though.

Recently, I received my first negative comment, (a condemnation of everything I did last) and it has really shaken me. It has made me wonder if I'm just like those American Idol contestants that honestly believe they can sing, when they really cannot. No one ever tells them the truth.

The truth is subjective. I've decided that even if I am one of those deluded people, I'm still happy to keep on going despite being universally 'awful'. No one has to read or comment if they don't like what's posted here.

For those of you who are as deluded as I am, may I present today's LOL-Cat line-up? CAPTIVITY & RELEASE

Although we can never take away their wild instincts, cats are (for the most part) our captives. I do believe they just allow us to keep them captive, though, because of all the PURRks they get. In fact, I think that they have turned the tables on us -- the captor has actually become the captive one.

Certainly we are their captive audience, and slaves to their every whim. No wonder they don't want to be 'free'. Captivity (or 'cativity' as I like to call it) has many more advantages.

The only downside is that hopefully rare occasion when your cat is truly held against their will in some sort of pet carrier -- generally on the way to the vet. The return home to an uncaged environment is truly a moment of sweet release.

And then there's the other sort of release -- the kind that Wally of "The Island Cats" likes to practise. This kind of release makes you want to let your cat go free. However, we keep them because it's a small PURRice to pay for the many pleasures these furry beasts bring to our lives.

Today, we have captured Gracie of "Goodness Gracie" and another Gracie, sister of Brian, from "Brian's Home", as well as Cody of "Cat Chat with Caren and Cody", Archie and Jimmy of "Cat's Cats", Diego of "Rumblebum", Truffle and Brulee of "Sweet Perfections", GJ of "Ginger Jasper", that Wally of "The Island Cats", and Sweet Pea, Rupert as well as that upstart Felix of the "Katnip Lounge".

There's nothing better than being held hostage by a pussycat. Most catPURRsons happily settle for a life sentence.

Gracie's certainly holding Daddy captive. Being asleep, he's a real PUSSover!

Today we're looking at LOL-Cats looking back at you! Amazingly, all of them are rather good at looking while being good-looking at the same time. Cats just can't help it -- they like to look -- and it doesn't really seem to matter what they're looking at.

A cat's outlook may change depending on their location, but it doesn't change the fact that they're still looking. And they're so good at it, too. If you're truly going to look at something, you need to focus and concentrate on the subject. Human's could really learn a thing or two from their cats.

Of course cats sometimes look at things we cannot PURRceive. They are definitely more highly evolved when it comes to looking.

Here I'm making reference to "Fearless Fosdick" who was a Detective (ergo, a dick) and obviously heroic (i.e., fearless). Cartoonist Al Capp (of L'il Abner fame) created Fearless Fosdick as a parody of "Dick Tracy."

Slash, as "Fearless Fuzzdick", isn't afraid of fraying the corners of his cat tree or anything else that comes under his scrutiny. And, being a longhaired cat, his purrivate parts are definitely 'fuzzy' (ergo, Fuzzdick)! 'Nuff said.

Chatzi looks so innocent right after dipping his nose in the butter dish. However, the evidence is all too apparent.

Cory utters the cry of all procastinators efurrywhere -- "I'll do it tomorrow!" She's not really into this new exercise regimen. If she's going to lift a weight, she'd rather it was a pound of Tillamook cheese.

According to this, Flynn is definitely a hero, even if he's just taking a snooze!

Subcultures, being on the outskirts of regular society, usually include some pretty cool cats! Bella's 'furiends on the fringe' frequent the local Subway restaurant.

Knowing that Sweet Pea is easily offended, brute tactics should be avoided at all costs. Try a little 'Sweet' talking instead.

The Importance of Being Earnest is a play by Oscar Wilde which first debuted in 1895.

Derry is very earnest about his urn nest. He thinks it's very important indeed!

Tommy ceaselessly oversees the sunflower seeds. He just can't take his eyes off them!

LOL-Cats are never just middle-of-the-road (at least we hope not, 'cause that might mean they've been run over)! They are usually at one extreme or the other. Sometimes they can be so very sweet and endearingly funny, and then other times they can be downright disgusting.

Today, we have a mix of both, which I have titled "The PURRecious & The PURRverse". Actually, if you ever want a succinct description of a cat, those two "P" words pretty well sum it up. How many of us has had one of our precious kitties 'meow' at us for attention, only to have them turn and run away when you try to do just that? Come here, come here, come here -- Go away!

There are worse perversities than that, though, and today you will experience some of them, right here. However, to start we have some precious ones like Truffle of "Sweet Perfections", Seaborne of "The Taylor CatSSSSS", Sweet Pea of the "Katnip Lounge", Chatzi of "A Cat Named Freya", Neytiri of "Clooney's Num-Num Fund" and Alfie of "The Cat's Meow".

This one was a natural -- or is that a "Naturalizer"?

It occurred to me that a cat's paw actually looked like four thumbs stuck together. Humans have always been elevated as biologically superior because of their 'opposable' thumbs, yet here are cats with four (count 'em) four 'paw posable' thumbs. They more than one-upped 'man', for sure!

Today we have a fair number of LOL-Posters on display. Sometimes they are just the most succinct way to sum things up. We also have a number of LOL-Posers of those cats who have posed quirkily enough to merit captioning. To round things off, there is a Lookalike, which is always fun to do. However, those are often a matter of opinion, as well.

Baring their teeth, Derry of "Fuzzy Tales" and Jimmy of "Cat's Cats" manage to be both LOL-Posers and make it to a LOL-Poster at the same time. Jimmy makes another appearance along with his brother Ben in yet another LOL-Poster.

Weird Al of "Cats of Wildcat Woods" is a LOL-Poser from way back! Then there's the consummate poser, Jonesie of the "Cory Cat Blog". Spats of "The Taylor CatSSSSS" poses rather shyly, while Ohs, Bees and Tees of "Marg's Pets" put it all out there in a LOL-Poster. The Baby of the "Katnip Lounge" poses with her woofie furiend, and Rumbles of "Rumblebum" poses as luggage. Ellie and Allie of "Friends FurEver" poses as a team of internet shoppers, while GJ of "Ginger Jasper" makes up our final LOL-Poster of the day. To top things off, Milo does his best imitation of a scuba cat.

Be it posters or posers, or both, there should be plenty to aMEWSe, or one hopes!

Though the look on their faces is rather pathetic, it appears that Derry and Jimmy have made a successful attempt at telepathy. How else do you explain their mirror images?

'EYS' has something in common with 'IBS' (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) in that they're both a process of elimination.

I found this "Scuba Kitty", who is actually a birdbath, on the internet, and thought it struck a resemblance to Milo wearing his own set of goggles. Maybe I shouldn't be giving Milo any ideas, though. What do you think?

LOLLYPOPS OR POPCORN -- OR BOTH!

Lollypops are like popcorn. You can't just stop at a handful. And sure enough, we have eleven new ones for your viewing pleasure today. That's equivalent to at least two handfuls and a bit.

Lollypops are the best kind of LOLs, because they really pop! And, again, like popcorn, they're corny. Lollypops are generally pretty sweet, and, of course, popcorn is salty. So that's why a little of each helps to sooth all kinds of LOL-cravings, or at least one would hope.

Alfie of "The Cat's Meow" is rather salty and Milo's more sweet. Maggy of "Zoolatry" makes such a Sweet Susan. Ty of "The Cat Street Boyz" is the salty one, and Thomas is the sweetie. The Baby of the "Katnip Lounge" is as sweet as honey. Calle of "Jacqueline's House of Cats" is sweet with a salty edge. And of course Truffle of "Sweet Perfections" is as sweet as the confection for which she's named. Eric and Flynn of "Our Lives by Eric and Flynn" are more salt than sweet. Lolo of "Weezdabadcats&dameendawgs" can't help but be sweet. Figaro of the "Cory Cat Blog" is more than a little salty. And finally, Zoey of "The Island Cats" is as sweet as can be.

I guess this is something of a POPularity contest. Which do you prefer -- the salty or the sweet -- or both?

In the words of Austin Powers "Oh, behave!". LOL-Cats are always behaving, be it well or badly. Today, we have some of each.

Little Truffle of "Sweet Perfections" is being a little naughty, but she's just a curious kitten. Wally of "The Island Cats" on the other paw, is considering tomato-cide. Deli and Bella of "The Monkeys" are just victims of bad behaviour, while Samson is one of the culPURRits. Lizzie of "Chez Cat" is doing such a good job. Her work ethic really shines. Johnny of the "Katnip Lounge" is another unwitting victim, while Felix is showcasing his aggressive behaviour. Clooney of "Clooney's Num-Num Fund" is behaving cautiously, as all pussycats should. Mr. Puddy of his self-titled is behaving outrageously, as usual. Allie of "Friends FurEver" is stuck in a pattern of behaviour, and finally Slash and Bronzy of "5-Cat Style & The Flyer" are behaving like spoiled brats (or is that cats?).

It's difficult to actually escape behaviour since that's what we are all doing, all of the time. So Austin Powers was right on with that one.

The LOL-Spot is a sanctuary for Behaven, 'cause we just "Let It Be" as the Beatles would say.

TO KWEE OR NOT TO KWEE?

That is the question. But the answer is obvious. Of course we want to Kwee. Who wouldn't? The "Kwee Cats" are seven adorable kitties who lives with their Mumsy Kwee in Cabot, Arkansas.

We have recently met the Kwee Cats and if you don't know them, take a moment to pop over and say 'hello'.

Miss Duchess is the matriarch of the bunch of four Kwee Ladies and three Kwee Gentlemen. She is a lovely calico and white torbie who runs the show. Next in line, in order of adoption, is Domino -- a black and white manly mancat. Then comes Pungy who is a gorgeous gray girl, and Oliver who is a black, long-haired ball of mancat fluff. These were the original four Kwee Cats.

Then Pungy got PURReggers, and had three now-grown kittens. They are Odysseus, a pretty little black and white girl; Sneaky Pie, a gray and white fun-loving boycat, and Piewhackits, a female brown tabby with white who is as crazy as her name suggests.

So now that they've been introduced, let's see what kind of KWEE-R stuff they've been up to lately!

When she's into her niptinis, Miss Duchess preFURs her PURRivacy. She especially likes the 'olive drab'.

It's one thing to take a stand, but Pungy's territorial issues are preventing her from getting her dinner.

I have never put so much thought into something as I have with this LOL-Spot! People are always telling me how thoughtful I am, but they really have no idea. It's exhausting, let me tell you.

Today, we have no theme and a mixed bag of LOL-Cats doing their own thing. Of course, that's nothing new -- they always do their own thing.

Some are definitely better than others, but my brain had to work long and hard to pull each one of them out from all that thick gray matter. Some are quite far-fetched, but you can thank your lucky stars that only one of them is 'fart-fetched'.

We have GJ of "Ginger Jasper", Milo of "The Cat's Meow", Sweet Pea and Samson of "The Monkeys", Casper of "Cat's Cats", Jonesie of the "Cory Cat Blog", Wally and Ernie of "The Island Cats", Ellie of "Friends FurEver", and finally Huffle of "Huffle Mawson, Explorer Cat".

So hit the pulse button, and let's mix it up!

None moreso than Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog, who starts us off with not just one -- but two heartwarming LOLs. Then Nicki and Derry of "Fuzzy Tales" (while not exactly heartwarming) poot a lot of themselves into the atmosphere. Nellie of "Cat From Hell" struts her stuff, and Figaro of the "Cory Cat Blog" elevates himself. Gabriel of "The Monkeys" is FURiendly but FURustrated, while Ben of "Cat's Cats" finds satisfaction at the top. Milo of "The Cat's Meow" is quite thoughtful and Gracie of "Brian's Home" is rather self-dePURRecating. Finally, we have Ernie of "The Island Cats" who faces things head on!

In efurry one of my posts, I like to think there's a little bit of the sublime, though I know they're mostly ridiculous.

Today, we are starting off with the sublime. For those of you who follow the LOL-Spot, you know my predilection for fart jokes. Nicki and Derry of "Fuzzy Tales" have combined furces to give us the ultimate 'blast off'!

Then comes Flynn of "Our Lives by Eric and Flynn", Thomas of "Cat Street Boyz", Lolo of "Weezdabadcats&dameendawg", Gracie of "Brian's Home", Samson of "The Monkeys", Figaro of the "Cory Cat Blog", Grayce of the "Katnip Lounge", GJ of "Ginger Jasper", Teddy of "Huffle Mawson, Explorer Cat", and my very own Domino and Dante of "Wendy's 3-D Cats". Dante (or at least part of him) qualifies as the most ridiculous, of course.

In-between the start and the finish, there are gradations of the sublime and the ridiculous. It's up to you to judge, which is which, for yourself.

Today's LOLs are diffurent, basically because they're not the same. Each one of these LOL-Cats is truly unique and they each bring their own PURRsonal flare to the LOLSpot.

There's Furby and Tommy of "Crazy Cat Lady Carm" fame getting off to a good start. Shade of "Sumac Stories" has his own PURRspective. Johnny and The Baby of the "Katnip Lounge" are certainly off the wall. Seaborne of "The Taylor CatSSSSS" has a diffurence of opinion. GJ of "Ginger Jasper" has a decidedly PURRticular point of view. For Truffle and Beignet of "Sweet Perfections" efurrything is diffurent because they are so small and just beginning to learn about the world. Fin of "Housecat Confidential" has a rare sensibility. Gertrude of "Marg's Pets" is one-of-a-kind, and Thomas of "The Cat Street Boyz" shows us his human doppelganger which is unusual to say the least.

I deFUR to difFURence. It makes for a much more interesting world!

In this case, File Attachment = Stalker. Watch out for your back, Furby!

Where Shade lives, weed is legal, free and abundant!

Sometimes this LOL-Spot is just a HOOT! I don't like to TOOT my own horn, so I TOOT others, i.e., unsuspecting LOL-Cats.

However, there's more than just TOOTS today, thankfully, although I must admit that my fetish for farting felines has raised it's gassy head (or is that butt?) once more.

Life can't be gas all the time, though, so I've isolated the offenders by putting them last. This way they can't influence the others. We need a certain amount of decorum after all.

We begin with Khaki of "Marg's Pets", then a double dip of Figaro of the "Cory Cat Blog". Sam and Andy of "SAS -- Sam, Andy, Shelly" make some 'Breaking News' (and no, this has nothing to do with wind). Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog reaches new heights and Nicki of "Fuzzy Tales" does his macho thing. Neytiri of "Clooney's Num-Num Fund" has a dilemma, while Chatzi of "A Cat Named Freya" thinks he has things figured out. Meanwhile, Zoey of "Zoolatry" does her best imitation of a pirate.

And then the wind shifts in another direction with Wally of "The Island Cats", Bella of "The Monkeys" and Kirby of "A Wizard and an Angel". They all chime in to sing "Toot, Toot, Tootsie, Goodbye", as we sail off into the sunset.

Khaki, unlike the cling peaches, doesn't suffer from sePURRation anxiety!

Figaro knows that gardens, like life, are more than just a bowl of cherries!

In this case, we know the charges will stick!

Here's a tip, Mr. Puddy: When you see red, hit the bed! It's a lot softer.

You may have guessed that 'Katrate' is karate for cats. It is basically structured violence with eticat.

Since you can't be a 'liver' without one, I'd say duckie is in 'dier' circumstances.

I'll start off by aPAWlogizing for what is to come! I tried to convince them otherwise, but there was no holding them in. Some of today's LOL-Cats are sufFURing from the vapours, and let's face it (er, away from it), it sure feels a lot better once one lets loose. To them, anyway -- the LOL-Cats, that is.

To be fair, not all of those in today's line-up felt compelled to 'pooter around', but there is a sufficient number so that it definitely influenced today's post. I think, purrhaps, it's contagious.

Teddy of "Huffle Mawson, Explorer Cat" goes first, and he is a very good boy -- not yet corrupted by any of these 'undo' influences. However, I cannot say the same for our veteran LOL-Cat GJ of his "Ginger Jasper" blog (unfortunately). The Admiral of "The Adventures of Admiral Hestorb" is suitably ladylike, but Diego of "Rumblebum" lives up to the name of his blog. Oliver and Mikasa of "The Adventures of Space Paws" are still on good behaviour because they're trying to find furever homes.

However, that formerly feral Gretchen of"The Creek Cats" is feeling downright cheeky now that she's settled. Little Thomas of "The Cat Street Boyz" is concentrating on other things (Thank COD), but Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog always has time for a good toot! Bringing up the rear -- and I mean that literally, is Sister Gracie of "Brian's Home", who brings a whole new meaning to the term "deflowered".

Are you ready? Set? Let 'er RIP!

I feel as though I've been rather witless of late, and when my brains turn to mush, the LOL-Cats are the ones to really suffer. They try and try to inspire me but insPURRation will only take you so far.

These LOLs had to be pulled, with great difficulty, from the depths of my dura. I'm not a good judge of their success or failure, so I'll have to leave that up to you -- my faithful followers.

Today is July 1st, which is the day Canadians celebrate our wonderful country. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, which is our nation's capital. Prince William and Princess Kate are here today, too, to help us party.

There will be a big show on Parliament Hill tonight with lots of music, laughter and fireworks!

Not to be outdone, the LOL-Spot presents you, today, with the Canada Day LOL-PURRade! This PURRade is a PURRocession of purely Canadian LOL-Cats. We are starting off on the East Coast of Canada and make our way westward.

From the wilds of New Brunswick, we have Banshee, Shade and Goldie of the "Sumac Stories". In Montreal, Quebec we find "The Monkeys" who now number five -- Delilah, Samson, Bella, Sweet Pea and little Gabriel. Next closest, geographically, are "Wendy's 3-D Cats" (that's me!) in Ottawa, Ontario, where you'll see Dante, Dylan and Domino doing their thing. "Fuzzy Tales" are practically our next-door neighbours in Kingston, Ontario where the handsome Nicki and Derry live. From Toronto, Ontario, we have four more handsome mancats -- Casper, Jimmy, Archie, and Ben of "Cat's Cats".

In Winnipeg, Manitoba (the Gateway to the West) we have four white kitties called "Our Furry Boys" (even though one of them is secretly a girl). They are Spike, Angel, Sebastian and Sadie. Then we move way west to the province of British Columbia, where we find two of our Canadian kitty bloggers: Kozmo and Nellie of "The Cat from Hell", and Clooney and Neytiri of "Clooney's Num-Num Fund".

The "LOL-Cat Bazaar" is a place where LOL-Cats put their bizarre nature on display for all the world to see. After all there's nothing more compelling than the bizarre, is there? Truth be told, the "LOL-Cat Bazaar" is just another pseudonym for the LOL-Spot where cat-bizarreness is our reason for being.

I think today's bazaar shows a range of bizarre behaviour beginning with Eric of "Our Lives by Eric and Flynn", followed by Delilah of "The Monkeys", Figaro and Jonesie of the "Cory Cat Blog", Mr. Puddy of his self-named blog, Spats and Sam of the "Taylor CatSSSSS", Rumbles and Diego of "Rumblebum", James and Lars of "Bengal Business", Snafu of "Cat of Nine Tales", Chatzi and Teego of "A Cat Named Freya", Khaki of "Marg's Pets", Sukki of "Jacqueline's House of Cats", and last but certainly not least, Lolo of "Weezdabadcats&dameendawg".

To love a cat is to embrace its strange and unPURRedictable ways. And here at the LOL-Cat Bazaar, we welcome them all with open minds and unbounded aPURReciation.

LOL-CATS OLD AND MEW!

Lately, we've had a few mew little kittens join the ranks of LOL-Cats. They are so young, it's quite early for them to be doing a rePURRise, but yet, here they are.

I speak of Lars and James of "Bengal Business" and Gabriel of "The Monkeys", all of whom have just arrived at their furever homes in the last several days. They were LOL-Cats even before they got home!!!

Along with them, we have some older LOL-Cats (a couple not much older, though), but all veterans of the LOLSpot. They are Salem, Sweet Pea and Johnny of the "Katnip Lounge" (those KL cats are always good for a giggle), and Ben, Archie, Casper and Jimmy of "Cat's Cats" (Jimmy is a relative mewby), Zeppo (still a kitten) and Britti of "Cats in Trees", Attie Cattie and Audrey of "Attie Cattie" and finally, Zoey of "Zoolatry".

So let's welcome them one and all, and thank them for their contributions!

Babies always get a little cranky when they're tired, so Mama did the right thing (except now she can't move)!

Something tells me Lars is the one with the brains. James' answer to efurrything is to chew it!

Gabriel isn't mature enough yet to see things in shades of gray -- efurrything is black or white to him!

LOL-CATS MOUTHING OFF!

Those LOL-Cats always have something to say. They will mouth off in the most unusual ways. There are certain of them, today, that use "mouth farts" to hilarious effect. And, with my PURRopensity for fart jokes, "mouth farts" have given me a whole new take on the same old thing.

For clarification PURRposes, here's one of the definitions from an Urban Dictionary: "Mouth Fart: The sudden expulsion of air that shoots through your closed lips when someone says something really funny or really stupid." I can just imagine this happening in reaction to many of my LOLs -- especially the lame or stupid ones!

When you're dealing with LOL-Cats, they often confuse the word "mouth" for "mouse", as well, so the opPURRtunities for word play just escalates.

Just to be contrary, the normally vociFURous Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog, doesn't have too much to say, today. One of the newest memPURRs of the CB, Thomas of the "Cat Street Boyz" is already quite bubbly, though. Cecilia of the "Cory Cat Blog" handles whatever crops up, as does Candy of "Crazy Cat Lady Carm", even if it's against her wishes. Nicki and Derry of "Fuzzy Tales" are happy being out and about.

Then comes Eric of "The Adventures of Eric and Flynn" with an explosive mouse fart! He is closely followed by Neytiri of "Clooney's Num-Num Fund" who has to deal with a number of mouse farts (not of her own making) all at the same time.

Milo of "The Cat's Meow" gives us a peek at his dark side (easy to do since he's a tuxy), while The Baby of "The Katnip Lounge" shows us her lightness of being.

Next up is the brand new kitten, Gabriel, who is the latest addition to "The Monkeys". He's such a fast learner. And as today's finale, Penny and Snafu do their own take on "Romeo and Juliet".

Today there are a lot of close-up faces of our LOL-Cats. It is PURRticularly difficult to intuit what a LOL-Cat is thinking when you have just their face to go by. Usually, there is something else in the picture that gives me a clue.

When I come face-to-face with a LOL-Cat face, I must concentrate very hard to figure out what they want to say. It's actually a form of telePURRthy!

The faces in today's line-up are: Jack of "Lisa, Lisa and the Cat Jam", Ryker of "Kitty Quartet", Milo of "The Cat's Meow", Admiral Hestorb of "The Adventures of Admiral Hestorb", Teddy of "Huffle Mawson, Explorer Cat", Allie of "Furever Friends", Slash of "5-Cat Style & The Flyer", Homer of "A Cat Named Homer", Kozmo of "A Cat From Hell", Sister Gracie of "Brian's Home", and finally a brand new kitten face in the CB -- and the newest memPURR of "The Cat Street Boyz" -- that cutie-pie, Thomas!

Each of today’s LOL-Cats has committed some kind of offence, or deadly sin, and has been PUNished accordingly!
Flynn of “The Adventures of Eric and Flynn” assaulted his brother Eric without PURRovocation. Fin of “Housecat Confidential” is in the throes of getting high. Mr. Puddy of his self-titled blog has committed the sin of Envy. Freya of “A Cat Named Freya” is plotting an assault on her new brother Chatzi. Yukon of “Cat of Nine Tales” has committed the sin of Pride through his vanity. Little Precious of "Brian's Home" is so sweet she doesn’t meet FDA regulations.

The Baby of the “Katnip Lounge” has committed two offences through pandering and threatening violence, while her brother Sylvester is just trying to defend himself against attack. Snafu of “Cat of Nine Tales” uses his deadly weapons (i.e., his sharp teeth) to bite and wound members of his family. Angel of “A Wizard and an Angel” has stolen the family laundry basket for her own nefarious PURRposes. Gracie of “Goodness Gracie” has committed the sin of Greed by expecting too much. And finally, Ollie, of the “Ozark Mountain Cats” has overindulged in a chemical substance without a PURRescription.

I hope that the PUNS I have used to PUNish these LOL-Cats will have a PAWsitive effect, and that each of them has learned a valuable lesson. What do you think – does the PUNishment fit the crime?

Mr. Puddy always has to be the center of attention at all times! He doesn't want anyone to take over for him -- even for a moment.

In French the term "tete-a-tete" literally means "head-to-head" but is used to describe an intimate CHAT (which is what Chatzi wants to do). So in this scenario, Freya's use of the word "Tete-anus" (tetanus) translates easily to "Head-butt".
